In a time when medical services seem impersonal, Nova Medical Group offers patients a new direction in health care. Nova Medical Group offers a wide variety of services for both adolescents and adults. Led by medical director Dr. Grace Keenan, board certified internal medicine and family practice specialists, nurse practitioners and nurses provide comprehensive health care to their patients. Nova has recently expanded their services to include complementary medicine, naturopathic and oriental medicine, massage treatments, biofeedback, hypnotherapy and psychotherapy.
With four locations in northern Virginia, Dr. Keenan saw a need to streamline communication between the various offices, to the benefit of patient care. Nova Medical Group became a Telework Consortium distributed work pilot in summer 2005, connecting all Nova locations, as well as the home offices of key medical professionals.
Nova Medical Group is an ongoing pilot, exploring the ways that collaborative tools can bring benefit to the organization and its patients. They currently use Marratech and VSee for management meetings, staff meetings, training, and medical consultation.
